Dr. Katz
Tracy Katz, m.d., F.A.A.D.
Tracy Katz, M.D. is board-certified through the American Board of Dermatology and has practiced cosmetic and medical dermatology in her native Houston, Texas for the past six years. She attended The University of Texas at Austin and graduated with Honors with a degree in Government and Biology in 2002. She then attended the University of Texas Medical School in Houston from which she graduated in 2007. Dr. Katz completed an internship in internal medicine at The University of Texas Medical School in Houston followed by residency in dermatology at The University of Kansas in Kansas City, MO. She has also completed a laser and cosmetic fellowship during which time she published over 18 peer-reviewed articles.
In 2017 and 2018 Dr. Katz was elected by her peers as Houstonia Magazine’s Top Doctor in Dermatology. She was also elected by her peers in 2017 and 2018 as Texas Monthly’s Top Doctor Rising Star Edition in Dermatology. Dr. Katz has lectured on the national level at the American Society of Lasers in Medical Science annual conference and is passionate about the use of lasers in treating various dermatological issues. She has also lectured at the Houston Dermatological Society and has also served as Investigator in over 45 dermatology related clinical trials. Dr. Katz is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, Texas Dermatological Society, and Houston Dermatological Society. She has been recognized by many organizations for excellence, Texas Magazine, Top Doctors 2020 and 2021, Modern Luxury, Dynamic Women of Houston 2019.
Dr. Katz is proficient in the screening and surgical treatment of skin cancer, the treatment of all medical dermatological conditions and sees patients of all ages. She is a skilled injector of all cosmetic injectables including neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and Kybella. She is experienced in the use of many lasers and procedures including ablative CO2 laser resurfacing, non-ablative fractionated resurfacing, IPL, Ultherapy, and microneedling with PRP.
Dr. Katz is married to her husband Aaron and they have two sons, Brooks and Jack, and live in Bellaire. She is dedicated to the Houston community and is so excited to welcome everyone to The Pearl Dermatology.

Dr. Petterson
jennifer deaver, m.d., F.A.A.D.
Jennifer Deaver (formerly Peterson), M.D. is a triple-board certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon through the American Board of Dermatology, the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery in Dermatologic Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery. She was born and raised in Houston, TX, and graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University. In 2004, she graduated from Texas Tech Medical School where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Medical Honors Society.
Dr. Deaver completed her dermatology residency training at Texas Tech in 2009. In 2010, she completed a prestigious laser and cosmetic surgery fellowship program at Cosmetic Laser Dermatology in La Jolla, CA with world-renowned dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Mitchel Goldman. Since that time, she has served as a consultant, physician trainer, clinical investigator, and advisory board member for many of the leading cosmetic lasers, injectables, and cosmetic skin care companies.
One of her principle areas of focus is laser surgery to improve a variety of medical and cosmetic conditions including acne, rosacea, scars, acne scars, birthmarks, wrinkles, skin tightening, and skin rejuvenation. She also specializes in facial augmentation with injectable fillers, neuromodulators (Botox and Dysport), skin tightening, sclerotherapy, body contouring, photodynamic therapy, cellulite treatments, and rejuvenation of the aging chest, neck, and hands. She is passionate about educating others and lectures nationally and internationally on lasers, energy devices, injectables, and patient safety. She is very active in improving the cosmetic dermatology field via research and has participated in over 40 cosmetic dermatology and surgery clinical trials and published extensively in medical journals and textbooks.
Dr. Deaver is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and is a member of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, Texas Dermatological Society, and Houston Dermatological Society. She has been recognized by many organizations for excellence, including Patients’ Choice Compassionate Doctor Award (2012), H Texas Top Doctors (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017), Houstonia Top Doctor (2013, 2017), and Texas Monthly Top Doctor Rising Star (2016, 2017, 2018), Texas Monthly Super Doctor (2019, 2020, 2021), Texas Magazine Top Doctor 2020, Modern Luxury and Dynamic Women of Houston Award 2019.
In her free time, Dr. Deaver loves spending time with her husband Marco, family, friends, and her Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Dolce & Gabbana. She is has been an avid equestrian the majority of her life and plays polo at the Houston Polo Club. Her hobbies include cooking Italian food and exploring coastal locales and Italy with her family.
