Dr. Katz
Tracy Katz, M.D., F.A.A.D.
Tracy Katz, M.D. is board-certified through the American Board of Dermatology and has practiced cosmetic and medical dermatology in her native Houston, Texas for the past six years. She attended The University of Texas at Austin and graduated with Honors with a degree in Government and Biology in 2002. She then attended the University of Texas Medical School in Houston from which she graduated in 2007. Dr. Katz completed an internship in internal medicine at The University of Texas Medical School in Houston followed by residency in dermatology at The University of Kansas in Kansas City, MO. She has also completed a laser and cosmetic fellowship during which time she published over 18 peer-reviewed articles.
In 2017 and 2018 Dr. Katz was elected by her peers as Houstonia Magazine’s Top Doctor in Dermatology. She was also elected by her peers in 2017 and 2018 as Texas Monthly’s Top Doctor Rising Star Edition in Dermatology. Dr. Katz has lectured on the national level at the American Society of Lasers in Medical Science annual conference and is passionate about the use of lasers in treating various dermatological issues. She has also lectured at the Houston Dermatological Society and has also served as Investigator in over 45 dermatology related clinical trials. Dr. Katz is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, Texas Dermatological Society, and Houston Dermatological Society. She has been recognized by many organizations for excellence, Texas Magazine, Top Doctors 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 Modern Luxury, Dynamic Women of Houston 2019.
Dr. Katz is proficient in the screening and surgical treatment of skin cancer, the treatment of all medical dermatological conditions and sees patients of all ages. She is a skilled injector of all cosmetic injectables including neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and Kybella. She is experienced in the use of many lasers and procedures including ablative CO2 laser resurfacing, non-ablative fractionated resurfacing, IPL, Ultherapy, and microneedling with PRP.
Dr. Katz is married to her husband Aaron and they have two sons, Brooks and Jack, and live in Bellaire. She is dedicated to the Houston community and is so excited to welcome everyone to The Pearl Dermatology.

Dr. Petterson
Jennifer Deaver, M.D., F.A.A.D.
Dr. Jennifer Deaver (formerly Dr. Jennifer Peterson) is a Houston native and triple board-certified dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon, certified by the American Board of Dermatology, the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery in Dermatologic Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery. She graduated magna cum laude from Texas A&M University and earned her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
She completed her dermatology residency at Texas Tech in 2009, followed by an advanced laser and cosmetic surgery fellowship at Cosmetic Laser Dermatology in La Jolla, California, where she trained under internationally recognized cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Mitchel Goldman.
Dr. Deaver specializes in advanced laser and energy-based treatments for both medical and cosmetic concerns, including acne, rosacea, and scars—such as acne scars, surgical scars, burn scars, and traumatic scars—as well as pigmentation and overall skin rejuvenation. Her expertise also includes injectable treatments such as neuromodulators (Botox and Dysport) and dermal fillers, along with skin tightening, body contouring, sclerotherapy, and rejuvenation of the face, neck, chest, and hands.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Deaver is deeply involved in research, education, and innovation in cosmetic dermatology. She has participated in more than 40 clinical trials and has published extensively in medical journals and textbooks. A sought-after speaker, she lectures nationally and internationally on lasers, energy-based devices, injectables, and patient safety, and has served as a consultant and trainer for leading aesthetic companies.
Dr. Deaver is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, the Texas Dermatological Society, and the Houston Dermatological Society.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Deaver enjoys spending time with her husband, Marco, their family and friends, and their Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. A lifelong equestrian, she competes in dressage and enjoys travelling—especially to coastal destinations and Italy—as well as cooking Italian cuisine.
